Memories of a Summer Moon Graham Harbor

O.k. so the picture is a little fuzzy, but at that time of night a lot of things are.... Graham Harbor is one of the most beautiful boat-in campgrounds on the lake and views like this are the norm. The quiet of a summer evening where cell phones don't work; think about that when it's 15 and snowing outside.

The 2011 regatta - photo by Richard Uhlhorn

Thirty six boats sailed seven races on the hottest weekend of the year, who would have thought the weekend after Labor Day would be the peak temps for 2011?

Results are posted on the regatta page.

Donate your boat to Lake Chelan Sailing

LCSA is a 501c3 non-profit conducting community sailing classes, boating safety courses and other events. We accept motor or sail boats which can be used by the association or sold for revenue. Dock vs lwd video Click on the link to decide for yourself which fish in Lake Chelan prefer. Is it docks? Or chemical laden fruit trees dumped in the lake as so called "mitigation" for docks? If a picture is worth a thousand words then this youtube video is worth a billion. The video was filmed at a Chelan Marina and two "lwd" sites.

The photo above shows lots of fish having a good time at a dock.

The photo below shows an artificial "woody debris" site. It would appear the fish don't care much for it.

Landowners who want to build or replace a dock on Lake Chelan have been forced by government agencies to place what amounts to sharpened wood stakes on the approach to their docks. It is unnatural, it is unsightly, and it is very unsafe. We are working to eliminate this dangerous practice. We are also trying to bring some common sense and real science to the table on the issue of dock "mitigation".
