C-Lark 14

The C-Lark 14 was manufactured by the Clark Boat Company from 1964 until the late 70s with total production somewhere around 1400 boats.

Today, the Lake Chelan Sailing Association claims what is believed to be the largest remaining fleet of C-Larks anywhere. The club owns 9 of these versitile 14' sailboats and there are another 8 boats privately owned in the Chelan area.

With the combination of a simple rig and great performance along with the ability to obtain boats anywhere from free to $700 the C-Lark 14 has found a home as our core fleet for community sailing lessons and informal club racing.

LCSA is always happy to accept the donation of C-Lark 14 boats, parts and trailers. We are also in the process of building a laser fleet.

This is what boats usually look like when we get them.

The C-Lark was designed in 1964 by Don Clark with the following specs; LOA 14', LWL 14', Beam 5'8", Sail area 133 sq ft, weight 295#, draft - board up 6", draft board down 3'6".

The C-Lark is the little sister to the San Juan 21. Chelan is home to a growing fleet of San Juan 21s, one of the most active racing classes in the Northwest.

The C-Lark 14 Sailboat has proven to be a great boat for first time sailors as well as seasoned racers.
